Nelly Omabhun Theodora Kusimo, popularly known as Nelly K, is a dynamic Canadian-based Nigerian gospel artist with a passion for advancing God’s kingdom on earth through her powerful music ministry and compassionate humanitarian efforts. Her deep commitment to uplifting lives has earned her recognition in various fields, making her not only a gospel artist but also a songwriter, music evangelist, public health practitioner, mother, wife, and dedicated social advocate.
Family Life
Originally from Edo State, Nigeria, Nelly K is married to Pastor Samuel Kusimo, an Engineer from Ogun State, Nigeria. Together, they are blessed with three wonderful children—David, Elizabeth, and Isaac. Their family is rooted in faith and purpose, supporting Nelly’s mission-driven life.

Nelly K continues to inspire others through her unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel and improving lives through meaningful service. Her work embodies her dedication to God’s plan, and she remains a driving force for positive change in both her community and beyond.
In addition to her flourishing music ministry, Nelly is an experienced logistics and supply chain officer with a Master’s degree in Public Health. She has accumulated years of supervisory work experience in Nigeria, where she leads SETI’s impactful projects. Under her leadership, the organization has successfully executed numerous initiatives, transforming the lives of countless women and children.
Her professional journey includes working as a central facilitator for the National Program for Immunization/UNICEF in the Kick Polio project. She has also contributed to chronic care, tuberculosis, and HIV screening efforts as a support staff member with Family Health International.
